2016 Challenge - May - Medieval Castle by Tamuril2 2016 Challenge - May - Medieval Castle by Tamuril2
So, this month, Scrub456 and I decided to do a Medieval Castle. The colors in mine didn't come out as vibrant as I had wanted (they look much better on the original piece, the scan washed them out), but I love the trees. If I've time, I'm so gonna redo April's picture, so the trees come out as good as these did.

Comments are very much appreciated. :D

The colors are still pretty vibrant, but I know what you mean. I like the details with the little basket and apron.

There is a way to make your colors show up like they are... Do you have a digital drawing program? I think Windows Photo Viewer might work for this too. Free and downloadable editing and drawing programs are Photoshop CS2, GIMP, and Krita. For Photoshop it's under Image>Adjustments>Saturation. I tend to play with Color Balance a bit too. For Krita it's Filter>Adjust>Color Balance and Brightness and Contrast Curve.

It can make the art look exactly as it is when you hold it in your hands. No extra drawing required, just playing with settings. salmon heart bullet

Edit: Well, not Photo Viewer, but a few photo viewing settings have those features, but it's pretty rare.

Aw, thanks. I tried to focus on getting those little details in, just to make them that much more real.

Oooo! Thank you! I'm so looking those up now. :D

First of all, ugh, I know about colors not showing up. But yours are still amazing. I love the look and style you've chosen. This is beautiful. And your trees are brilliant, my friend.

This is so, so lovely!
